Synopsis

Cowherd and Weaving Maid Festival celebrated only by single girls. On 6th night of 7th lunar month Chinese priests employed to perform ritual. Food and other items used in celebration. Pomeloes, taros and coconuts consumed during Mid-Autumn Festival. Mooncakes in her village different from Singapore version. Other food eaten during Mid-Autumn Festival. Children played with lanterns. Worship of ancestors and deceased during Qing Ming Festival.

Girls in village believed that washing faces at the sea on Dragon Boat Festival was passport to healthy complexion. How green beans were planted for Cowherd and Weaving Maid celebration.
