Plan is the left portion of a tracing covering the strip of land north of Tanjong Rhu Road from Rhu Lane at the west to Thornycroft Shipyard site at the east, and showing Crown lands, road reserve lines, granite road, proposed widening of Tanjong Rhu Road reserve to 45 feet width, drains, lot numbers, lot boundaries, lot areas, newer lots added or derived from subdivisions (shown in red), address numbers, buildings, party walls, walls, fences, high water mark, slipway, concrete piers, wooden piers, engine room, cooly lines, offices, garage, steam sawmill, a kampong on the sea next to the coastline near Rhu Lane with house numbers, mosque and school, and others.
Map was originally produced in 1941, additional markings in pencil and red ink were added on in later years and the last amendments were in c.1955
