1971 Master Plan: Map covers slight changes to landscape in Toa Payoh, Mount Pleasant and Caldecott Hill Estate. It shows residential areas, broadcasting station at Caldecott Hill, pump at reservoir garden off Reservoir Road, Police Depot, barracks and officers' mess at Mount Pleasant Road, Chinese cemeteries and temples, quarry off Thomson Road, shopping belt along Balestier Road, part of Tan Tock Seng Hospital, schools, open spaces, a large part of general industry area under comprehensive development in Toa Payoh district, change in residential density in persons per hectare in districts under planning, a big canal and additional of a canal, Sungei Whampoa, main traffic routes and others.
