In addition, there is correspondence between the various Singapore agencies including the Ministry of Home Affairs and with the UK Commissioner in Singapore regarding the following: * format of the identity documents in order to facilitate the requirements for both Singapore and non-British seamen; * new arrangements introduced in 1962 for the revalidation of seamen's certificates; and * documentation for Singapore seamen on vessels visiting China.
