[31 pages] File pertains to the logistics and co-ordination between agencies to mark the observance of Empire Youth Sunday in Singapore on 30th May 1954. The Colonial Secretary’s Office requested the Singapore Youth Council (SYC) to undertake arrangements to mark the day and the Public Relations Office in turn asked the SYC for a copy of the programme and the Queen’s message for the Government Printer to print copies. Arrangements were also made with the Federation of Malaya to synchronise the release of the Queen’s message. File contents include correspondence between various agencies, text of the Queen’s message and the order of service at St Andrew’s Cathedral.
