Opening of Victoria Theatre - guest list, performances, souvenir programme. It took place on the 6 September 1958 from 7:30pm to midnight with performances from all racial groups, decided upon by an Entertainment Sub Committee, chaired by Ong Pang Boon, Deputy Mayor. Paul Abisheganaden offered to perform. The Grand Finale was a choir singing a song based on "Majulah Singapura". A translation of the song is on pg 52. The budget for the opening performance was $2,500.
