  • Synopsis :

Three   segments  covered in this programme:

    1.  Video Arcade   -   video arcades were banned in Singapore in 1983. One of the main reasons for the ban was to eliminate teen gangs and secret societies from gathering in such places. As a result  of the relaxation of the rule in 1990, video games can now be found in amusement centres which attract youngsters.  With the backdrop of the 1983 ban, this segment discusses how safe the amusement centres are now.

    2.  CPF Shares   -   this segment discusses how the Malay community can benefit from the Singapore government' further liberalisation on the use of the Central Provident Fund (CPF) funds for investments.

    3.  GST Forum   -     this segment discusses how consumers may prepare themselves for the possibility of retailers earning more profits through levelling unfair prices on consumers, as a result of the Goods and Services Tax  (GST).
