  • Synopsis :

    Three segments covered in this programme:  

    1.    PE Teachers In Schools   -   features comments from two principals on role of physical education (PE) teachers:

    i.     Rebecca Mok, Anglo-Chinese Junior College

    ii.    Priscilla Ng, Queenstown Technical Secondary School

    This segment is a follow-up in the last Contact-Y programme telecast on 9 April 1989  when S Dhanabalan, minister for National Development and Chairman of the Advisory Council on Sport and Recreation, said that ultimately, each school should have six trained PE teachers.

    2.    One Keng Seng:  A Profile In 3 Acts   -   profiles Ong Keng Seng, the new artistice director of Theatreworks who gave up a promising legal career to go full-time into professional theatre.


    3.    Straight-Talk   -   discusses the topic "Should Sex Education Be Taught in Schools?". The audience for this forum consists of students, teachers and young working adults. The panellists are:

    i.       Dr Robert Balhetchet, Lecturer in Moral Education, Institute of Education

    ii.      Anthony Yeo, Director, Counselling and Care Centre
