  • Synopsis :

Three segments covered in this programme:

    1.   Towards World-Class Enterprises  -  some local companies in Singapore are expanding regionally and internationally. Many of them plan to achieve world class standards and recognition. This segment looks at three potential world class enterprises as they head towards this goal.

    2.   Asians Or Soviets?  -  there are Soviet people living in the desert plains and high mountains of Central Asia. Yet, culturally and historically, they are different from Moscow. The riots in Kirghizia and Uzbekistan have posed the question of whether these republics will follow the path of the Baltic states.

    3.   Occupational Diseases  -  the work environment can have profound effects on our health. This segment looks at  industrial diseases and occupational health.
