  • Synopsis :

Three segments covered in this programme:

    1.  Cambodia:  Peace At  Last?  -  examines Vietnam's intentions in view of its announcement  to pull out of Cambodia even without a political settlement, and discusses whether Cambodia can avoid the inevitable civil war that seems to follow the military withdrawal of a foreign power.

    2.   Bush's First 100 Days  -  examines what American President George Bush has achieved in his first 100 days in office, and assesses the Bush presidency thus far.

    3.   Singapore On A Shoe-String  -  style is not what travellers to Singapore who  stay around Bencoolen Street are looking for. This segment looks at the "cheapest" parts of Singapore and includes the views of people who see travel in quite a different light.
