  • Synopsis :

This radio feature focusses on how Quality Control Circles (QCCs) can motivate workers. In Singapore, most employers provide social and welfare benefits to their employees. However workers need recognition in the workplace and a sense of being needed by their company. Many jobs are dull and routine in nature and don’t motivate workers. One way to do this is to form Quality Control Circles. These circles are made up of small groups comprising management and workers in the same department who meet regularly to identify and solve work-related problems. QCCs allow workers to influence decisions about their job and to have a say in how to conduct their work. Communication is an important feature of QCCs and people are given the opportunity to interact and improve teamwork. In the programme, spokesmen from different companies touch on the benefits of having QCCs in the workplace.
