Synopsis :The programme features a hike through the HSBC Treetop Walk in Singapore's MacRitchie Reservoir Park. The park dates from the 1860s and is the oldest in Singapore. The forest around the reservoir has been protected as a water catchment area. The two highest points in the park, Bukit Pierce and Bukit Kalang are connected by a 250 metre long suspension bridge which stands 27 metres above the ground. The bridge can be reached after a moderate 5-kilometre walk through the forest. The walkway on the suspension bridge allows for one way traffic and a maximum of 30 people can be on it at the same time. A hike through the Treetop Walk gives visitors a magnificent bird's eye view of the rich flora and fauna in the forest's canopy. They include different species of birds, insects, monkeys and the fast growing terentang tree.
