  • Synopsis :

    Vice Chairman, Singapore Arts Council, Dr Goh Poh Seng, gives a speech before he opens the Modern Art Society's 4th annual exhibition. He talks about the 'continuing growth of visual arts in Singapore' in the last few years, but he stresses 'much more can be done to advance art' for the country. Referring to a report published by PATA, he believes Singapore can be 'transformed into a graceful and cultural city'. He puts forward two suggestions towards the transformation. Speaking before Dr Goh is the Society's President, Ho Ying (in Chinese).
