Joseph Pereira interviews Reggie Verghese, guitarist with 1960s band The Quests; Reggie talks about how he came to join The Quests, what kind of music they played; Reggie discusses the commercial nature of the group, how they did compose some pieces, how much money the band would collect for gigs and how the group came to make so many recordings and tour overseas; Reggie talks about the reasons for the breakup of the band and how he became a producer with EMI records; Pereira asks Reggie about the 'downslide' in the music scene in Singapore in the 1970s and the reasons for it; Reggie talks about his musical influences, how his musical experience helped him in his work with EMI; discussion regarding the local music scene today and technological developments since the 1960s; hopes for The Quests to re-form to perform some shows and make a recording.
