  • Synopsis :

    Three segments covered in this programme:  

    1.  When Things Start To Think   -   examines artificial intelligence and what it means for human beings when machines start to think. Features interviews with local experts and the Lee Kuan Yew Distinguished Visitor, Professor Feigenbaum.

    2.  Student Unrest in South Korea   -   looks at the mounting   student unrest in South Korea.  Led by opposition leaders, the students are petitioning for direct presidential elections, and want President Chun Doo Hwan to step down.
       
    3.  HDB Cracks   -   focuses on cracks in Housing and Development Board (HDB)  flats, examines whether the cracks are a safety threat and asks if  the HDB is doing anything about them.
