  • Synopsis :

    Yangzhou was one of the capitals of the Sui dynasty. It was formerly known as Jiangdu and Guangling. Yangdi, the second Emperor of the Sui dynasty, visited Yangzhou three times in grand dragon boats upon completion of the Grand Canal. A story about one of his visits to Yanzhou with Empress Xiao and his favoured concubines in dragon boats is included in this record. Yangzhou is a famous historical and cultural city. Shouxihu and the Five Pavilion Bridge are some of the attractions in Yangzhou.
