  • Synopsis :

Zhi, a rag-and-bone man, has only $30 left two days before Chinese New Year. He is poor but kind-hearted. When he learns that a scholar, whose wife is due to give birth, is broke, he gives most of his money to him. Later, he gives an old lady his last few dollars in exchange for a bronze statue of an old man. The statue turns out to be a god of wealth who converts Zhi's millstone into gold. After selling the golden millstone, Zhi uses the money to start a small business and help the needy.
