  • Synopsis :

Dong Xiao Wan, a woman of beauty and culture, lived during the period from late Ming to early Qing dynasty.  It is claimed that she is a concubine of Qing's Emperor, Shun Zhi but Cai Yuan Pei thinks that is disputable.  Some studies suggest that Dong is married to Mao Chao Wen. At the fall of Nanjing to the Qing's army, Dong is captured by Yang Qiu Nan.   As she refuses to be his mistress, she is tortured. She dies soon after the torture. Her final resting place has yet to be located.
