Synopsis :Minister for Foreign Affairs S Rajaratnam holds the press conference after the 12th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting, Bali on 28-30 June 1979.
He gives a brief statement which covers the communique ASEAN issued about Vietnam and Kampuchea. He adds Singapore has 'great expectation' and 'the expectation is not as complete' as anticipated. He then answers questions raised by the press which seek clarification and details about the communique, refugee problems, plans for ASEAN defence against Vietnam, support for ASEAN from other countries, ASEAN allies not coming forward openly to assist.
One specific question is related to Singapore, that is whether Singapore has any 'individual and concrete move against Vietnam and Soviet Union'.
