Synopsis :In his speech Minister for Foreign Affairs S Rajaratnam talks about the DSC's expulsion of a member Gary Loke Kum Cheng in April 1971 for 'despicable behaviour'. But the main focus of his speech is the 'generation gap in the Democratic Socialist Movement', that is between the DSC journal's - 'The People' - concept of Democratic Socialism and that of the PAP. The difference borders on concepts and ideas.
