Synopsis :Mr Marshall talks about the achievements of his Labour Front coalition government since he won the election last year. He is speaking under the apple tree on the spot where Sir Stamford Raffles was supposed to have landed. One of his achievements is the Labour Ordinance which sets out the 44-hour week, 11 public holidays, paid sick leave, maternity allowance and annual leave of 14 days. Mr Marshall tells the crowd at Empress Place of his plans to go to London next month for constitutional talks on attaining full internal self-government.
