Synopsis :This is a recording of a speech delivered by President Yusof bin Ishak at the luncheon of the opening of the Scout-Guide Week 1967 held at the Girl Guide Headquarters. The opening address by the President of the Girl Guides in Singapore, Mrs Wee Chong Jin, precedes President Yusof Ishak's speech. In his speech, President Yusof Bin Ishak touches on: what the scout and guide movements share in common and their common ideals; their service to the community and spirit of self-help; the scouts and guides' 'unstinted efforts' for the cause of their fellow human beings.
