  • Synopsis :

This is a recording of the continuation of a panel discussion at a forum on "Emerging Patterns of Industrial Relations" organised by the Singapore Institute of Personnel Management. The panel comprises representatives from the University of Singapore, NTUC, Ministry of Labour, Singapore Employers' Federation and the National Productivity Centre. In the economic transformation of Singapore into an industrialised society, amendments have been made to the Employment Act and Industrial Relations Ordinance in the labour front. The panel members discuss the specific circumstances which these changes serve as contributing factors towards a new pattern of industrial relations in Singapore; and how the industrial parties are adapting themselves to conform with the changes. A Question-And-Answer session is held after the last speaker.
