Synopsis :Radio Singapore begins interview with brief introduction of Dr Goh Poh Seng, Chairman, National Theatre Trust (NTT) and Vice-President, Singapore Arts Council. Interview is focused on Theatre Trust, its functions and programme of activities.
The questions put to Dr Goh include:
1) define arims and functions of National Theatre Trust (NTT);
2) how does Trust plan to function to achieve these aims just outlined;
3) Trust planning to send more of talented young men and women overseas for training to improve stage production, for example;
4) programmes and activities of Trust regarding sponsoring of local and overseas shows;
5) role he can play in coordinating various activities of main cultural groups in Singapore, in his capacity as Chairman of Trust and Vice President of Singapore Arts Council;
6) How is the response to the formation of Singapore Arts Council;
7) many visiting musicians express surprise in Singapore still lacking in permanent symphony orchestra; comment on this position and whether Trust any plans to establish coordinated efforts;
8) does Trust sponsor permanent arts and photos gallery established recently in compound of National Theatre;
9) is this idea cataching on fast with local artistes;
