At the dinner, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Singapore, Professor Lim Tay Boh notes an increase in graduands over the past three years, with 670 as the new record. There are now nearly 3,000 students at the university. Among the highlights listed by Prof Tay this session are the completion of the Science Tower and the establishment of the Faculty of Social Sciences. He adds that plans are completed for the establishment of the Faculty of Dentistry.
