Synopsis :In his statement, Malaysian Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman expresses his disbelief at the outbreak of violence in Singapore. Being away from the country, he wishes to understand the cause of the violence when he returns. He urges his people to exercise some control and responsibility to prevent an escalation of the situation. He adds that with the Indonesian confrontation, there is a greater for the Malaysians to stand united.
