Synopsis :

The 16mm film is not a packaged production but contains filming of several aspects of farming -  Vegetable Farm, Farmers' Study Tours, PPD Newsletter, Orchids, Poultry  There is no audio. Details of the footages are as follows:
1) Vegetable Farm:
a) Sprinkling black material on vegetable plots, empty or planted with vegetables;
b) Watering vegetable plots from two cans suspended from pole carried on shoulders;
c) Pulling seedlings from vegetable plot;
d) Weighing dark coloured stuff on scale;
e) Scooping light coloured stuff into PVC bag then weighed; several bags sealed and other sacks on ground near van; unloading more sacks from van;
f) Harvesting groundnuts - pulling whole plants out; close up of them on ground; long shot of area of these plants;
g) Tractor with three rotating disks digging up earth as it moves forward;
h) Spray with long handle emitting white 'smoke' on low trees, man wearing mask;
i) Man pouring liquid from tin into container;
j) Official with farmer - talking at vegetable plots, examining vegetable leaves; at another plot farmer diggiing at soil with fingers;
k)Turning earth with changkul;
l) Taking photos of farm area - at different locations;
2) HDB Building - external view; close up of name;
3) Farmers' Study Tours:
a) External view - group of men walking;
b) External view - at building of ; inside building group listening to man talking, looking at tray of eggs;
c) Red banner on bus which reads Farmers' Study Tour (part of title cannot see);
d) Outside view - officials talking to farmers; demostrating on hand-held tractor;

4) PPD Newsletter:
a) Man putting address wrapper for PPD newsletter (in Chinese);
b) Two men folding newsletter and inserting one sheet with pictures;
c) At printing machine - printing out Chinese edition of newsletter;
5) Pigs and Poultry:
a) Cleaning black pigs with hose;
b) Man trying to put cock in box;
c) Cocks in wire mesh coops; other coops with white hens;
d) Hens in basket - couple picking them up for jabbing by official;
e) Ducks - big group swimming in water, scores of ducklings on land;
f) Ducks inside shed - eating and drinking from long troughs (getting dark);
g) Ducks on land area, then in waters again (time appears to be morning);  6) Orchids:
a) Two men working with two different orchid flowers, with a few onlookers;
b) Outside view - man talking to a few men in front of orchid plants.
